THE ASIAN Academy Creative Awards (AAA) 2019 was held at Singapore Victoria Theatre, Singapore, on 5 December evening.
During the Grand Award ceremony, the Best Children’s Programme Award went to Australia, Best Animated Programme Award went to India, Best Short Form Content Award went to Myanmar for a Still/Life short film, Best Immersive Award went to China (Taiwan), Best Branded Programme Award went to Thailand, The Best Promo or Trailer Award went to Viet Nam, The Best Current Affairs Programme Award went to Singapore, The Best Single News Award went to China, Best Documentary Award went to China, Best Direction (Non- Fiction) Award went to Singapore, Best Editing Award went to China (Taiwan), Best Sound Award went to the Philippines, and Best Visual or Special Fx Award went to Australia.
In addition, the Best Actress in a Supporting Role award went to Myanmar’s child actress Pyae Pyae for her role in the film ‘The Only Mom’, produced by Brave Empire productions.
Pyae Pyae was present at the award ceremony alongside Brave Empire Producer U Soe Hlaing and actress Wutt Hmone Shwe Yi. ‘The Only Mom’ also won 6 Regional Awards of the Asian Academy Creative Awards 2019. AAA was established to promote the creative skills of youths from different countries. It is supported by the Singapore Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA).
